Amber Scorah

Founder

Amber has been guiding whistleblowers and sources through the process of coming forward for four years, both behind the scenes and as a publisher of their stories. She has worked with whistleblowers from high-profile companies including Twitter, Uber, Apple, Blue Origin, and SpaceX. She’s also helped everyday people in rehab centers and retail jobs bring forward stories the world needed to hear–and in the process launch government investigations, change corporate culture, and expose sexual misconduct and fraud.

Amber herself is a whistleblower who authored the critically acclaimed memoir Leaving the Witness (Viking Press). Her writing can be found in the New York Times, Washington Post, USA Today, Boston Globe, and Los Angeles Times. After her son died on his first day in childcare, Amber became a parental leave advocate. Linking his death to the issue of lack of parental leave, she wrote a viral essay in the New York Times which launched a movement that changed laws. Amber has appeared on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Fresh Air with Terry Gross, NPR’s Morning Edition, and The Today Show. She is a TEDx speaker and a Dean's fellow at Harvard.
